My Validation for Affirmation

God's word is full of affirmative scripture. He made us in his image and tells us that if we remain in him we will bear his fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, faithfulness, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self control. His desire is for us to live our lives displaying these characteristics so that others will be inspired or curious about their source, and come to accept Jesus as their savior. I know for myself it is sometimes difficult to show the fruits of the spirit; life can bog me down and characteristics like stress, short-temperedness, ugliness, and impatience can instead mask the beautiful fruits. I saw this short film today and it really changed my perspective. I know, as a Christ follower, that God is the ultimate source for joy in this life, but I also have come to realize that other Christians can help build us up and bring us joy as well. We need to encourage and uplift one another with positivity and affirmation! Everyone needs to be appreciated, loved, and listened to. One of our goals throughout our lifetime should be not only to bring others to Christ, but to cheer on our fellow believers so that they feel empowered to go out and do God's work to the best of their ability. This film is a little on the cheesy side, but is honest and inspiring. I hope it brings you joy and a little perspective today!
